Diliput Kompas

Selesai acara kami masih kongkow2 dgn tamu2 yg lain eh beliau masih penasaran dan coba lagi bikin rantai… wah tambah canggih bahkan berani menambah speed bikin rantai. Seru deh karena komunitas lain yg hadir disitu ikut menyaksikan , mengomentari dan menyemangati.  bahkan mas Budi tertarik untuk mengajak istrinya jika kami mengadakan kopdar lagi.

Kurang lebih begitu acara malam itu. Alhamdulillah Jakarta yg diguyur hujan sepanjang siang & malam di hari Rabu sebelumnya cerah selama kopdar… hujan baru turun setelah jam 22.00 jadi kopdar dan wawancara tidak tergangu.

Merajut di Kopdar Martabak

Kopdar merajut di Kopdar MartabakHehehe, kejar tayang nih posting. Ceritanya ada Kopdar Martabak di Wetiga hari Selasa 6 Januari 2009. So sehabis jam pulang kerja kami kesana. Semangat!

Oh ya, belakangan baru tahu kalau Luki sempat pengen balik pulang ngambil benang rajutannya, hehehe.

Red Booties for Jihan

Jihan's red booties

Actually, this booties was made since a few week ago. It’s a quick project actually just a one-day project but I made it slowly … very slowly #-o  . Inspired from Junior’s booties, my friend Utha wants me to make one for her youngest daugther. First, I made it in pink but my yarn was limited, so I decided to change it to maroon with pink accent to make it girly.

Despite of make a spike booties, I changed the spike pattern with a serial of sc, dc and sc on dc, dc on sc like the overlay part of my Uptown Bag. I make the booties 1 row higher before add  2 rows overlay and a 3-ch edging. It just easy to make, make 2 sc chain for the strap and hide it below the overlay.

And this red booties is a gift for Jihan.

Spike Booties for Junior

spike booties

In my DC group, there a self-written booties pattern by one of our member as the exam of reading pattern class. And as the member I got the pattern too. This spike booties result a cute booties accent by a spike pattern with different colour of yarn. This pattern is easy to follow and to make, actually I’ve already finish this booties last week. But just have time to take the picture and post it today.

I made this booties using light grey baby wool yarn rom DC combine by dark brown soft cotton yarn. Using hook no. 4/0 it seem that I made a little bit bigger than the pattern size. After washing this booties it became   more tighten than before… more steady I think.

So here my first booties for my Junior. Can’t hardly wait until the delivery time. Your shoes is ready my Junior :)

Mio C230 and Its Tunisian Pouch

Riyo's Mio C230 in action

My Dear husband just have a new gadget named Mio DigiWalker C230. A portable pocket-size GPS to assist and accompany him go to many places. He loves it’s adjustable features to show him a bunch of alternative route to go.  As leaving Mio inside the car when parking (especially in an open area) is not recommended (actually I don’t allow it too :p ), so he has to bring it inside his pocket. Considering keys, coins and other thing inside that would scratch its beautiful body, my husband request a “simple” pouch to keep it safe.

Tunisians Stitch: simple stitch & knit stitchSimple, just like a sock

Because the requirement is to safe it from scratch, so I make the pouch with tunisian technique. Use tunisian simple stitch to make it a solid and masculine pattern with grey wool thread. I only add 3 rows tunisian knit stitch as an accent. Even it just a simple pouch, I finish it in a few days due to my high activities.

Just slide it inMio in its pouch

Why I said a simple pouch? because my husband doesn’t want any zipper, or button or rope to close the pouch. I think the pouch must have any safety item to prevent its content from slip down when put upside down in his pocket. He just wants to slide in his Mio into the pouch just like a sock.

So, here it is… his grey-mio tunisian pouch.  :-$ Pssst, actually I plan to add an elastic rode/ribbon at the top of the pouch

Surprise Buat Thata Pang

Selimut Pelangi Cinta by DC'ers

Happy birthday Thata Pang!

This beautiful square blanket is assembled by Fenny from assorted square made by 19 20 members of Dinamic Crochet group as a birthday-gift surprise.

Akhirnya siang tadi paket sukses membuat speechless Ratu DC. Akhirnya milis DC ramai lagi setelah sepi-bungkam kemarin seharian. Issu-nya pula Ratu DC mau membalas “kenakalan” rakyat DC…, hehehe penasaran nih, kali-kali ditimpuk benang-benang cantik dari Surabaya **ngarep.com :huray: **

CAL Project Chic on The Halfshell Purse

Halfshell PurseHere my latest FO as the CAL project among member of Dynamic Crochet group. The project actually is a speedy project because it used bulky yarn. I finished this purse several days ago, but… I can’t post it because there’s a problem downloading its picture fom my camera memory :(

Ok, forget about the trouble. I share the story of my CAL, Chic on The Halfshell Purse designed by  Drew Emborsky. I used 3 green small-roll of 4 ply wool that available at DC. Considering the need of the yarn, I used a turquise roll of 4 ply cotton for the centerpoint of my purse. It’s my first time using bulky yarn and thanks God I have clover hook no. 10 to work. The pattern is consist of sc, ch, dc and sl st to make a round shape. It’s easy to make, that’s why its become a speedy project in my group.

I almost got crazy knowing my yarn is up! Fortunately it still enough to make a row of sc for edging the purse. The bad news is, my yarn is not enough for making purse enclosure. Just think of it later and enjoy wearing my purse first ;)

Mystery KAL Scarf in My Version

myst-KAL1Actually this mystery KAL scarf project was held for 2-3 month but Diana, my friend in groups was finished it in a few days! What a quick knitter. I, my self just finished it in 3 weeks in a busy couple weeks enrolled the committee for graduation event and support my husband for his Open Dialog with Mr. Roy Suryo last week.

myst-KAL2As this project was a mystery project so the participant just got a hint text pattern, the rest project was up to each participant. When I finished make the scarf based on the hint, it’s time to modified it to make the best that I could. Start to exam the hint pattern, considering the repetition part so I make a modification. I rotate the pattern and add extra motif to make a nice connection between each part of pattern.

As the final result, my scarf looks have a mirroring pattern. Use 1 big ball of softy wool, knitted with no. 6 needle. It’s so warm, just suitable to cover my throat … I’ve got cough and fever  since 3 days ago and getting worse :((

Ok, here’s my version of mystery KAL scarf… I’m going back to sleep to get rest again. May I getting well soon! :)

CAL Pinapple Doily

CAL-pine-doily This doily was one of my project in our group. Given a few month ago and delayed finished because of miscounting row :( The center of this doily was the one that make me struck on it. It’s so beautiful that make me submit to enroll this project. Imagine that someday I will make another project based on it 8->

CAL-pine-doily2As a fact, I still did it in a slow motion :( Make it with sleepy eyes in midnight just resulting in miscount stitch and realize it after some rows ahead #-o And the final obstacle was I run out my yarn! My only 1 medium-ball of cotton thread just don’t enough to finish it’s 4 rows border left. What ashamed… I just can’t find any color from my stash that suitable to match it :(( So for now, just assume it finish first and make it up when available ;)
